For about a year now, we have been working with a group of French and Quebec arctic researchers to create and launch a new research initiative in subarctic benthic ecology, called the BeBEST ("Benthic Biodiversity Ecology, Sciences and Technologies") laboratory.
Announcing our new summer course!
EBLab is happy to announce they will be co-organizer of a new international summer school in marine field ecology with the University of Gothenburg, the University of Algarve, and MarineTraining.eu.
The course will be held at the Lovén Centre in Tjärnö (Stromstad, Sweden) and is inspired by our experiences with field courses in the EMBC and EBMC+ master's program.
To learn more, see the registration page at the Marinetraining.eu website.

Teredo Project funded: Deflam!
New project funded, “Deflam” (“Transfer and recycling of dead wood along the Mediterranean continental margin”), is about the mysterious shipworm. This 'worm' is really a bivalve, and some might call it the perfect drilling machine. Deflam is an unusual multi-disciplinary study about these and other organisms which colonize driftwood in the sea. Funded for two years (2016-2018) by INEE-CNRS.
