Il y a quelques semaines, nous avons été invités à participer à une session du Podcast organisé par La Cantine Numérique de Brest. Nous avons conversé largement au sujet de la prédictibilité en écologie, de l’utilisation de la modélisation mathématique pour réaliser les prédictions, et aussi de leur application aux problématiques de l’évaluation des impacts environnementaux. A few weeks ago, we were invited to participate in a podcast organised by “La Cantine Numérique” in Brest. We had a wide-ranging conversation on predictability in ecology, the use of mathematical models to make predictions and their application to questions about environmental impact assessment. The Recouvrance Bridge where the Penfeld River empties into the Bay of Brest is one of the most well-known examples of post-WWII architecture in Brest. It is also a potent symbol of the reconstruction effort made after the city was destroyed in a series of bombardments during 1944.
