EBLab Numerical, Gravity Marine, and EBLab have co-authored a scientific publication appearing this year in “Remote Sensing” featuring multi-spectral sensors mounted on small drones to rapidly assess coastal and offshore water quality.
EBLab Numerical helped develop an original algorithm to analyse spectral data collected by the onboard sensor. We report on how we designed the indices by analysing the response of each monitored wavelength relative to the others, and by exploiting theoretical model of reflectance spectrum of chlorophyll a concentrations and turbidity in marine environments.
